I've used Tamoxifen for 3 years. I look forward to stop taking this medicine because I have a lot of side effects like pain and hot flush.

I've been taking Herceptin since 2012. I was also on Zoladex since 2012 but this has recently been changed to an aromastase inhibitor, anastrozole. The Herceptin can cause all sorts of weird and wonderful side effects the most worrying is it can affect the heart but regular ECG keep an eye on that, so far so good. I didn't have too many problems with zoladex and so far anastrozole isn't too bad either. I suppose like everything else I've just got used to it, I try to do my bit by a healthy diet, exercise, keeping my weight down, wearing natural fibres and dressing in layers. Works for me.

I have had prostate removal 3 and a half years ago, shortly after that I had a scan which revealed that I had now got Bone Cancer, Yippee! I was chosen to go on a drugs trial, "STAMPEDE" this is to have a 13 weekly abdominal implant to lower my Testosterone production, this starves the cancer.

Also daily,I have 4 tablets of ABIRATERONE, and 1 PREDNISOLONE.

So far I suffer from tiredness and lack of Stamina

Also, I no longer have an erection, have tried all kinds of med's but none were successful, so my wife and I resign ourselves to celibacy, hate this but at least I am alive!

I also am a diabetic type 2 for 11 years or so, which I manage with diet and tablets.

Wish I knew the prognosis for myself, It is like the sword of Damacles hanging over me.

Any Ideas? Phil.

Hi Phil, if you haven't already discovered him have a look at Chris Woollams of CANCER active. He has spent a lifetime of gathering as much information about cancer, drugs, lifestyle etc. You may find something interesting there. xx
