Hello,

How are you today? emoticon cute

So that we can discuss the various treatments for cancer!

As you know, treatment for cancer is very broad and depends on the type of cancer, ranging from surgery, radiotherapy, chemotherapy, targeted therapy, immunotherapy, stem cell transplant, to many more! Some people with cancer may only need one type of treatment, while others may need to undergo a combination of a few.

What has your cancer treatment been like? Have you had surgery? Chemotherapy? Something else? What were the results and side effects? How are you doing today?

@Courtney_J I was diagnosed with non-small cell lung cancer in 2018. I went through radiotherapy for it which was terrible, I was sick as a dog. I don't think I've ever felt worse in my life honestly. I don't know if that was just my reaction to it, or if it's like that for everyone. But I was glad to get through it. That managed to reduce the tumour so I could have it removed and then I started target therapy in late 2019. That caused a bit of diarrhoea, but over all it went well. My cancer seemed to respond well to it. I'm due for an appointment soon to check my status, but overall I've been well since.

Hello everyone,

cancer treatment can be very different from one person to another, and each journey comes with its own challenges, decisions, and experiences.

What treatments have you undergone for your cancer?
What has your experience been like so far?
And is there anything that has helped you cope better along the way?

Please feel free to share your experience with the other members. 💛

Take care,

Somya from the Carenity team 🌼
