Hi @Mikeing,
Thanks for sharing this, it's really frustrating to be waking up so frequently. Unrestful sleep like that can take a real toll over time. I’m also sorry to hear that even after trying so many approaches, nothing has really helped so far. If you feel comfortable sharing, do you notice any nasal congestion, reflux symptoms, or medication side effects that might be contributing to the dryness?
I'll go ahead and tag a few members to bring this post to their attention in case they missed it.

- Has anyone experienced frequent night waking due to dry mouth or mouth breathing without sleep apnoea?
- Were there any underlying causes identified (for example, nasal issues, reflux, medications, or dryness)?
- What has helped you improve sleep continuity in this situation?
Hopefully others who’ve been through something similar can share what helped them.
Take care,

Hello. I don’t suffer from sleep apnoea but I do wake every 1 to 2.5 hours with a very dry mouth. I've had 2 over night study kit sessions with my local NHS sleep apnoea service that show I've no OSA. I've tried a MAD, chin straps, mouth tapes, anti rolling device, all to no effect. I go to sleep easily breathing through my nose successfully. I've been given Amitriptyline which I haven't used & am pretty reluctant to use. Anyone else have these symptoms?
