Hi everyone 🌙
When you have been struggling with insomnia for a while, bedtime can sometimes stop feeling relaxing.
Instead, it can become something you start worrying about hours in advance.
You may find yourself thinking:
“What if I can’t sleep again tonight?”
“How exhausted will I be tomorrow?”
“I really need to get eight hours tonight.”
The more pressure you put on yourself to sleep, the more alert you may start to feel.
This is sometimes described as sleep anxiety - when worrying about not sleeping becomes part of the insomnia itself.
It can create a frustrating cycle:
You have one bad night → you worry about the next night → bedtime becomes stressful → falling asleep becomes even harder.
Some people also start checking the clock repeatedly, calculating how many hours of sleep are left, cancelling plans because they expect to be tired, or changing their whole evening routine around the fear of another bad night.
💬 We’d love to hear about your experience:

For some people, insomnia is not only about sleep itself, but also the stress and anticipation around it.
Do you feel that worrying about sleep has become part of your insomnia?
With care,
