Hello everyone,

Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension (PAH) is notorious for being a disease which takes a long time to be diagnosed. Many patients begin with mild symptoms such as fatigue or chest pains but these can advance onto fainting, blue lips, swelling in the limbs and lightheadedness.

How long did it take for you to be diagnosed with PAH? How has your life changed since your diagnosis? Did it take long for you to be diagnosed?

It took me quite sometime to be diagnosed...the doctor thought the pains in my chest were associated with stress at first so it took several months to get to the bottom of it.

For me it was never so serious as fainting, but I did get lightheaded a bit and had the swelling. I think it took a good 18 months for my diagnosis. Since, I have been taking warfin and it seems to keep things at bay but recently I have been getting more side effects. Wondering if that is normal- to get new side effects after 4 years of taking a medication with few issues.
