Great "link" Gilda. Although I often perform hand exercises (for historic and inherited osteoarthritis) but some of these were "new" to me......it's always nice to discover new ones!!!!

I suffered from the same thing for months on end, couldn't stand, sit, even laying on the bed was agony. I ended up sleeping in the car as the car seat was the only comfortable way to sleep. After several visits to the GP and many mind blowing drugs to help with the pain, I demanded an MRI. It was discovered that I had a prolapsed disc and it was resting in my sciatic nerve. An operation was performed and when I awoke from the anesthetic the pain had instantly gone. I have osteo and rheumatoid arthritis, but it had nothing to do with either. Get it checked out demand the MRI. Hope this helps.

Broadway is very right. I had exactly the same thing. I suffered for 6 moths before I was referred to a Neurosurgeon who did an MRI scan and discovered that my Sciatic nerve was solidly jammed between my L3/ L4. He performed an operation Hemi Laminectomy and micro discectomy where he had to cut half of the discs off to free the nerve. There was immediate relief from then on. So don't waste any more time. Demand an MRI scan asap. Good luck. Would be nice to hear of your outcome. Hope this helps.
