Movember is the time of the year where guys grow a moustache to show support for conditions that affect men, like prostate and testicular cancer. It is expected that by 2030 there will be 1.7 million cases of prostate and testicular cancer in the world. This is why awareness must be raised! And organizations like Movember are so important to help raise it.

This year the challenge is not only for the Mo Bros (who normally grow a moustache during the month), but also for the Mo Sistas :) You can still grow a mustache if you are a guy, but if you are a woman, you can show your support by moving. No move is too big or too small, so the idea is just to do 30 moves in 30 days (take a 30min walk, go for a bike ride, play some ping pong...)

Here at Carenity we decided to join the Movember challenge as a team. The idea is for you to help us with all the ideas we can do and pictures we can post, so we can raise as much funds as possible for the Mo Cause.

It is simple:

Throughout the month you will be showing your support for the cause by posting here either your pictures growing your Moustache or posts/pictures of your Moving activities, and we will take those ideas and put them on the CareniMove team on the Movember site, so we can get as many funds as possible.

You can even challenge us to do something... go running, play football... and we will do ti and show you with pictures :)

You can follow the activity on the Movember site through this link: http://moteam.co/carenimove and if you wish, you can even join the group on the site (just be aware that personal data is asked, hence you are not obliged to join so you can keep your privacy)

At the end of the month we will let you know how much money we raised as a team :)

So what do you say?... ARE YOU UP FOR THE CHALLENGE?!

Start posting :)

Having survived cancer, I know how little real support is out there for cancer sufferers, so any contribution to improve people's understanding and provide support would be a great improvement!

For some it was hard to say goodbye to their beard, but they did it! And now the Carenity Team is ready for ‪#‎Movember‬... Keep posted to see how their Moustache evolves...

Are you up for the challenge too?

Remember that you just need to post your pics or write about the Movements you do during the day to keep active!

Share for Movember :)

It's starting to look very silly...

While there have been members of my extended family who have had cancer it's only been girls, it's amazing how male cancers almost never get talked about. I had a scare myself recently and had to wait for biopsy results from an endoscopy - it's made me acutely aware of risks and gave me a taster of what a lot of people have to go through. Fortunately there was no malignancy in my case.

Today I went walking to do my groceries, I usually take my car, but I changed to try and catch better habits and move for the cause as you say gilda
