I do not appear to suffer from motion sickness when traveling by car and/or plane. I have not been on a ship so have no idea what would happen. I presume I would struggle with looking at the sea/waves constantly.

@BAZWHEAT I think it's because they usually concentrate on one thing. I know when I'm in the car, always a passenger because I'm not medically allowed to drive, I usually get motion sick when I'm looking at things to the side (like trees and fields when going down the motorway). I don't get motion sick when I'm watching for cars when we come up to a T junction or a "Give Way" section 🤷♀️ I asked my partner if he gets motion sickness. He doesn't, unless he's going downhill and his stomach contents are sloshing around more.

I have never had motion sickness so I can't suggest anything. My daughter used to suffer with it and we found if she didn't read in the car she was fine. Closing your eyes if you can also seemed to help.

I personally don’t suffer motion sickness. My brother did as a child and nothing worked. He was okay when he learned to drive.

As a child, I suffered from motion sickness, in a car I had to face the direction of travel and in the front of the car, I am much the same today I dislike sitting with my back to the forward direction. I could not map read in a car or read book on a journey. Eyes front helped me.

A very old trick which I proved as a youth worker with a group of youngsters on a very rough sea passage to France is to get to fresh air, and sing. Yes sing. It seems that loudly singing helps prevent sea sickness :-)
