Hello everyone,

How are you today? emoticon cute

With chronic illness often comes many symptoms that can make daily life difficult. I thought it might be interesting for us to talk about COPD symptoms.

If you could get ride of one of your COPD symptoms, which one would it be and why? How would your life change if it were gone? Feel free to share here, you may find that you have some common opinions with others!

Hi all, been AWOL for a long time but now back. The thing I'd most like to get rid of is the breathlessness (if that's a word?) When I cant breath, it makes me cough, then when I cough, i cant breath so it goes round in circles. Being out and having to cough has is another problem on it's own. (Its difficult to walk like a lady with ones legs crossed)

(( sorry if that offends))

My husband gets short of breath going up the stairs ,& is hoping his Occupational Therapist will be pushing for a stair lift . He also gets out of breath outside ,so can't / refuses to walk, I wish this would change now he has quit smoking & now vaps. Also if his excess skin had been removed after a Gastric Bypass ,it may have helped  with his breathing now.

I WOULD like to stop bringing the mucus up , as at times its very hard to do and the shortness of breath ,not bringing able to carry things for myself, not being able to keep up with others when out having to use my stick or chair.

I have COPD and struggle with many things but decided I was not going to struggle with the stairs and bought a stairlift, it was one of the wisest things I've ever done. No more gasping for air halfway up, no more collapsing at the top. If you're struggling, get a stair lift.
