Hi, I have a query after visiting my doctor the other day and I'm curious.

Have any of you have been diagnosed with any other disease supposedly related to Crohn's disease?

I have a few other health problems and I'm told "You know with Crohn's disease it's normal for X or Y to happen"... So if I didn't have Crohn's I wouldn't have this other condition? 🤔

I've read that depression and other mental health problems are common with IBD and other gut disorders, but I wasn't aware of others and my internet research is proving to be futile.

Thanks for any replies!

napoleon

@napoleon @Courtney_J I'm not sure if this counts, but I do have recurring mouth sores which I've been told are linked to Crohn's. I also struggle with depression and I believe some studies have shown a link between digestive health and mental health. I don't know if it's that or if it's just the relentless nature of Crohn's that brings me down.
