Yes I definitely understand how you feel I suffer with PTSD low moods depression and anxiety and it is hard for me I watched coronation Street last night and it was just like going back in time with my stalker it was so bad I couldn't sleep as it brought back so many bad memories I understand what they do to help people but it didn't help me but if you ever feel down then I am here to chat love and big hugs Tigger xxx

@Tigger.co.uk I am so sorry to hear. Hopefully it is better now. :)

I feel like the problem is my mindset but I don't know how to change that

People can smile but the smile never reaches their eyes ,the sadness is always there , if you look closely you sometimes see faint scars on their wrists. People ask "How are you ?" my answer like many is always FINE=F = Fucked up

I= Insecure

N= Neurotic

E= Emotional

Thankfully my depression days are few , instead of weeks at a time I use music ,audiobooks and gardening lucky to have 3 acres and my daughter lives beside me ,so am busy cutting grass ,trimming hedges, In the winter cut timber sow trees ,transplant trees that have grown wild ,Retired last June ,I always have plans on what I want to do. Insomnia P.T.S.D. I have but can take a nap during the day. Involved in a group that fights for social injustice , Years back I hated myself and said I am useless ,that did not work, So even to get out of bed ,eat a breakfast and do some work I tell myself "Well Done " 26 sessions of psychotherapy showed me the person I am good points and the bad ,tough at times after a failed suicide attempt saved me ,as medications were not working. .

Hello @rainbow768 ! How are you today?

Thank you very much for starting this discussion. It can be really hard to deal with depression and self-hate, and I want you to know that you are not alone. It might be not easy to find the motivation to take care of yourself when feeling down, but it's important to remember that you are worth the effort. Even small steps can make a big difference. I will tag some members, who might want to share their thoughts on this topic.

Hey everyone! How are you? How has your depression been lately? Do you ever feel overwhelmed because of your condition? How do you deal with it? What gets you through the bad days?

Take care,

Polina from the Carenity team
