I have had 2 biopsies each being negative, these were done a few years ago and involved putting a special tool up your bum, this tool was used to provide local anathsetic and scanning facility of the prostrate. The procedure was embarrassing, however the staff were very sympathetic. This has changed now, the procedure now gains access via the perineum which fills me full of worry and maximum embarrassment, you lay down with your knees held up and a scanner is placed up your bum then needles are used to sample your prostrate. I have not had this procedure yet, but it was explained to me by a nurse. I have differed this biopsy due to concerns I have.

having medical examinations that require me to partially undress dont bother me, as long as the examination process is done with my modesty in mind
if i did not have these examinations, wouldn.t be able to take place properly

Hello everyone, how are you doing today? 😊
For many men, the thought of medical exams and procedures can bring discomfort, not just physically, but emotionally as well. Prostate cancer testing and treatment often require some level of exposure, which can be challenging if you’re someone who feels uneasy about being unclothed in a medical setting.
🔹 What should you expect?
Medical teams see hundreds of patients and handle these situations with professionalism, but it’s completely understandable to feel uneasy.
👉 Have you felt uncomfortable with the level of exposure required during prostate cancer testing or treatment?
👉 How did you manage feelings of embarrassment or modesty?
👉 Do you have any tips for staying calm and confident in these situations?
