Hello everyone,

Having a chronic condition, such as RA, is difficult for many reasons but sometimes the most difficult thing is having the people around understand what you're really going through each day.

Do your friends and family understand your condition? Are they supportive?

Here is our article all about "Explaining your chronic condition to loved ones", we hope you find it interesting and informative :)

How about you? Are you supported by your loved ones? Do they understand what rheumatoid arthritis is really like?

My husband is supportive but he does not understand that doing the simplest household chores are difficult me sometimes. The problem with my RA condition is that sometimes I feel energetic and strong and can do a lot of housework without the support and often without any visible reason I cannot even hold a cup. He does not understand why and how it happens and says maybe my medication is not working or I should go for biologic. It is hard to make him understand. My children do understand but they feel pressured when they have to look after me and I can feel that.
