Hi everyone,

It is well-known that diabetes can cause circulation problems in legs and feet. Patients suffer from swollen feet or ankles which makes it difficult for them to lead an active life.

According to some research, wearing compression socks allows patients to reduce the edema and prevent further complications due to diabetes.

Have you been suffering from circulation problems because of your diabetes or other?

Has your consultant already talked to you about this treatment?

I have odema in my legs and recently had to have a small operation in hospital. The nurse in charge wanted me to wear compression hosiery before the op and tried different sizes on me. However nothing would fit, so I had to have the op bare legged and hope for the best. All seems to be well, but it made me wonder whether any larger stockings than they had (and they went up to xl) would have worked anyway. They measured my legs and tried the appropriate sizes but to no avail.

Irony,Diabetes socks sold from many sources are specifically designed not to have the normal tightness level of normal socks at the top to keep them up.
