My GP took me off Diclofenac and put me on Naproxin because of this.

Hi , Diclofenac is already a prescription only medication here . I think there was recently some concern in the media with the increased risk of heart attack

Yes, thought it was @XDarenX - I always had to have a script for it.

Hello to all, I agree with all that this Diclofenac has always been a prescription only medication, due to the nasty side effects that arise from long term use.   I am also banned from taking it due to my stomach getting in a bad way and getting gastro ulcers, I am even banned from using the topical cream, Volterol.

This medication is really just the anti-inflammation treatment, it never did anything for my pain,

Keep up the good work of information sharing, ttfn from Karen

Hi

Yes diclofenic always has been a prescription drug ...as long as I can remember.  My doctor took me off it and put me on Naproxen about 3 years ago.  It was the best of a bad lot was the comment.   Diclofenic helped my pain, naproxen isn't nearly as good.

I must admit, Naproxen does not work for me as well as Diclofenic did.

Hello to all, Naproxen made me ill and I cannot risk it again, so just pain relief when it is needed.

I use MediGuard, and when the medication details are all input it gives you warning and alerts about all your different items and gives you indications as to the different issues that can arise.

Well for now keep well, ttfn from Karen.

I hadn't heard of MediGuard @Karen56 , but I have checked it out - what a great site - I must admit it was a bit scary seeing how many of my drugs have interactions with others I take, but great info.  For anyone else interested, the website is:
