Hi everyone, how are you doing today? 😊

A new study suggests that fish oil might help reduce insulin resistance in people with type 2 diabetes, even those who are not obese. Researchers found that omega-3 fatty acids in fish oil can shift the body’s immune response from pro-inflammatory to anti-inflammatory, potentially improving glucose tolerance and blood sugar control.

🔬 Key findings from the study:

  • 🐟 Fish oil supplementation improved insulin sensitivity in non-obese rats.
  • 🩸 It helped regulate blood sugar, cholesterol, and inflammation markers.
  • 🛡️ Omega-3s changed immune responses, reducing inflammation linked to diabetes.

While this research is still in early stages and more human trials are needed, could omega-3 be a simple way to help manage insulin resistance?

What do you think? Do you take fish oil supplements or include omega-3-rich foods in your diet?

Have you noticed any effects on your blood sugar levels?
