@Olawole I contacted my GP they said the doctor had said I was stringent social distancing only, but that's impossible as we are in a room with lots of other people, I am constantly worrying nothing I can do just wish I could afford to leave but cant thanks for your comments

Hi I'm type 2 diabetic I work in a nursery with 2 to 3 year olds. I'm told I'm due to go back to work on 1st June I'm feeling anxious about this as I am classed as vulnerable do I have to go back. There is no way 2 to 3 year olds can socially distance what are your thoughts x

Hi
i work in a reception class and I’m type 2 diabetic, as far as I’m aware I’m down as vulnerable and won’t be going back on the 1st June. I am working from home , planning lessons and commenting on tapestry and doing lots of on line CPD courses. My head chose to put me as vulnerable due to my diabetes, but I haven’t had a letter from GP for shielding.

My doctor was cold and annoyed, that despite my lack of decent immune system(lymphoedema) asthma, familial COPD, and diabetes, I was just being over cautious..
I was due to get tested but so scared I'd catch it I backed out...

Hello everyone,
Since the Coronavirus pandemic concerns many across the UK (and Carenity members too), I've created this discussion to allow you to talk specifically about the virus in the context of Type 2 diabetes, as we all know that people with underlying health conditions can be more affected.
If you haven't yet seen, we've published a few articles outlining the general information and guidelines for both the general population and for those with chronic illnesses:
Coronavirus: What do you need to know?
Coronavirus and chronic illness
Are you worried about the coronavirus? Have you received any special instructions from your doctor regarding your care? Are you going to limit your travel? Do you feel that you are sufficiently informed about the general and specific recommendations? Have you taken any specific precautions?
Feel free to share your comments or questions below!
Take care,
Courtney
