Hi! πI was offered a newer medication recently, and at first it felt a bit overwhelming to start it earlier than I expected. But my doctor explained the heart and kidney benefits, which made me feel more comfortable. Iβm still focusing on diet and exercise too, but having the medication early gives me extra peace of mind. Has anyone else felt nervous about starting treatment sooner than they thought?

π Have you recently been offered a new diabetes treatment earlier than expected?
There have been some important changes in the UK: people with Type 2 diabetes may now be offered newer medications earlier in their care β especially treatments that also protect the β€οΈ heart and π§ kidneys, not just blood sugar.
For some, this means adding medications sooner than before⦠for others, it might feel like a big shift in how diabetes is managed.
