Hi, I had been taking various pain and anti inflammatory medications for years as I have a neurological condition and suffered with dislocating hips while pregnant. I gained lots of weight over the following 10 years then finally diagnosed with diabetes type 2, non alcoholic fatty liver disease, folic acid deficiency, achilies tendinitis and rheumatoid arthritis all in the same appointment!
I now follow a keto diet, I've lost 1 stone in 6 weeks and my blood sugars are back into normal range. I'm hoping to come off metformin soon x

My NASH was caused by my weight. I let it get out of hand for too many years, and that plus my smoking which caused high blood pressure was the "perfect combination" you could say to cause it.
@Cheryl161028 what is keto? I'm not familiar with that term. Losing weight has been just impossible for me, so i'm curious to try other things. Xx

Non-alcoholic steatohepatitis can be caused by various factors. It can develop due to certain conditions like obesity, diabetes, hypertriglyceridemia, or some nutritional disorders, or as a consequence of certain operations or medications.
Do you know what caused your NASH? Were you warned against the possible development of this disease by your medical team?
