I really think doctors need to change their attitude. They see obesity and stop there, tell you to eat less, move more like it'll magically just happen. I have to mentally prepare myself for any appointment with anyone who's not my go-to GP because I'm at this point I'm just exhausted of asking everyone to just listen.

Hi everyone,
Living with obesity is about so much more than numbers on a scale, yet the healthcare system doesn't always treat it that way. Many people say they’ve felt judged, blamed, or reduced to their weight during appointments. Others describe treatment plans that overlook their emotional, social, or mental health needs.
It’s time to talk about what compassionate, comprehensive care should really look like.

Your voice matters, and it can help shift how obesity is approached in medicine.
Take care,
