Dear members,

I am delighted to announce that Carenity has added new and improved features to our medications unit, which you can find here: My medications. You can still add, evaluate and comment on your medications, but we have revamped the layout and added special features for ease of use.

Evaluating a Medication

We have updated how you can evaluate your medications. Instead of it being represented just by numers, we have changed our icons to make it easier to assess and review. You can evaluate your medications through several different criterias; effectiveness, ease of use, adherance to prescription, side effects, improvement in quality of life and general satisfaction.

You can see how other members have rated the medication and give advice about treatment to others! Useful? We think so too... :)

Additional Medication Information

Assess Medication Visually

We have changed how you can view the overall rating of a medication. We have added a concise and neat summary of each medication where you can quickly discern how others have rated it. This gives you the opportunity to learn how others have reacted to certain treatments and to discuss the different side effects or reactions that you have had.

------------------

We hope that you will find this updated medications unit useful and will be visiting “My medications” page from time to time to share your own experience in order to help others, and to learn more about your current or future treatments.

If you have any questions or need help with this new section, please feel free to contact me!

Hi Tigger, how are you doing today .I know what you mean about medication. I don't know the name of half of them. I have so many now that I have a DOS BOX,and some that I have to get on a prescription. Some of the worst tablets that I have had have been off my Rheumatologist. Methotrexate messed my blood up and I had to have blood tests twice a week. They were stopped after 6 months.leflunomide made me so sick and I had diarrhoea all the time. There was another one but I can't remember what it was called made me so very very ill I ended up in hospital because they thought I had a blockage, but as soon as they found out i was on that tablet, they said it was that one tablet that was making me violently sick. Another tablet that caused me to end up in hospital was Ramapril. It woke me up in the middle of the night, i could hardly breathe. My tongue had swollen so much it was filling my mouth and I ended up in Rhesus. We don't know half of what we're taking do we Kiddo. The thing is, when we're in a lot of pain well try anything.Hope you are feeling better today Tigger  I'm just the bloody same as i was yesterday. Perhaps tomorrow will be a better day for us. Will text you again soon my lovely Friend xx Take CARE.  GLOJO

@LynnDoherty I was sad to hear your problem Lynn and hope you are feeling better.

I would tell the doctor I was offended by his comments which were totally unfounded & had caused me additional stress. Sometimes protesting doesn't work so well but a bit of straight talking can!

All the best

Hello there I am deaf in both ears but cant put this in my illnesses I see a audiologist and I see my hearing specialist once every six months I have had loads of ear infections and I have had a Mastoidectomy and sometimes they have to clear my ears when I get an infection i have to remove my hearing aids but then i cant here at all i do have a fire sensor under my pillow so if there is a fire it buzzes and vibrates as a warning also i have a door bell that flashes a bright light and i have an hearing phone ,also i do have red stickers on my walking stick that tells drivers that I'm deaf also it is a white stick as i suffer with glaucoma which was given to me by Silcs my specialist wanted me to have a cochlear fitted but as being 65 and having lots of illnesses and breast cancer I dont think I want to go through anything else so I just thought I would let you know about my being deaf in both ears and to see if there is anyone else as when going out it is very hard to hear people and I just nod and hope it is right what I'm doing .Tiger
