I'm wondering if we have anyone on here that enjoys photography and would like to share their pics.

I took it up when i was very depressed while suffering from Graves disease and it really helped to get me out of the house and improve my confidence because i was learning new things all the time.

This is a pic i took of a friend during a fishing trip in the Highlands. It's significant to me because the day was actually cold and blowing a gale, we caught nothing at all because we could hardly cast a line. Yet the pic came out sunny and serene looking. Kind of synonymous with my life :)

Hello Everyone,

These are a few of my images. Back in the 1980's I trained as a pro, that was back in the days of film. It is a lot different now with digital, but I determined not to be a dinosaur. To bring myself up to speed I completed a digital imaging course at college, and digital photography with the OU. If I can help with anyone's photography please get in touch.

(Now to figure out how to attach images to my post, I just discovered this site does not support code, the hard way!!! This may be something to look at for the site redesign in the new year.)

I think I have managed to attach the images but as there is no indication I can't be sure.

Cheers,

Alan, (Crackaig)

So that didn't work. Just how do you add images to a post on this site and why do we not use one of the standard methods used by other sites?

Hi,

I am also into photography, I am in the processing of completing a BA (Hons) in Photography and I have my own (fledgling) photography company. I have always enjoy photography - almost like my happy place when trying to get away from everything, very theraputic - with my personal favourite being nature and wildlife, although when getting paid I am happy to undertake most types of photography.

Happy to offer any advice/tips I can, and may well ask for help in the future, I look forward to chatting with everyone

OK I'm reliably informed that I can't upload images using Firefox browser. Here's another attempt using a different browser.

 Cromerty Bridge.
East Sutherland coast. (If you look closely you will see a monument on the hilltop to the right, I'm lucky enough to live in the village below that.)
 Sunset from the local beach.
Loch Lannsaidh (Lansay) With a friend fishing from his float tube.
Loch Fleet (Taken from near the bridge you can see in the next image).
 Loch Fleet and the Mound.
 Mouth of the River Fleet.
Waiting. An oil rig awaiting refit at Invergordon; this is the deepest natural harbour in the world.
Dark Tying. Taken to illustrate a recently published article (Total Flyfisher Dec '15)

I really hope this has worked after all. This is my third attempt.

Cheers,

Alan (Crackaig)

I do use them with my writing. Also (not wanting to get political) I did the photos for one candidates campaign in this years general election. If someone wants to use my images I insist on what is called a "Creative Commons Licence". That is, if you think so little of your living room you want to hang one of my images in it, then contact me, and I'll let you have a high resolution version of the file, that you can get printed (at your own expense). No charge for that. If you want to use any commercially in any way, then we need to talk terms. (I mean it, if anyone would like one to print get in touch).

Located a couple more not on the hard drive (Still waiting to get it back). These are both in Ullapool.

Cheers,
A.

I've tried for years to take pictures but I don't think I have a very artistic eye, because what I see to the picture I take looks completely different and a bit rubbish.
