Hello everyone,

How are you today? emoticon bashful

Who hasn't heard on countless occasions that breakfast is the most important meal of the day? The idea that this first meal ensures that we have plenty of energy for the entire day has become well ingrained in our minds.

What about you? Are you a breakfast person? What are the benefits to breakfast in your opinion? What do you usually eat?

Let's share together below!

Take care,
Courtney

Always eat breakfast, porridge or cereal with a piece of toast.  A mug of coffee as well.

I used to eat breakfast when I was younger and in school and college, but not so much over the last few years. More so since moving in with my mum as she works nights and myself and my fiance usually send my mum photos of her lil pomchi cross chihuahua dog

I have found that I have to get up, have a cup of tea, then go for a 4 or 5 mile walk before I can eat breakfast- (usually porridge, a bowl of fruit or toast with marmalade). Actually it's more brunch by the time I get back home.  If I have breakfast before getting out  walking I feel too sluggish to bother. I'm slim, 8.5 stone, the heaviest I've ever been.

I make sure I have breakfast daily. Tea early morning, then either porridge, raisins, and banana, or O-Tees.

My doctor often asks me whether I still eat breakfast when he checks up on me. Many of my medications have to be taken with food also.

By having breakfast, it also stops me eating junk food during the day!

Breakfast has always and continues to be my favourite meal of the day!  This can be just a bacon, sausage or egg sandwich, always with a big mug of tea and sometimes orange juice or the "full works" that includes a grilled/oven baked tomato + lettuce (1st had this years ago in Sorrento and since then, almost always incorporate this) as well +/or baked beans plus 1-2 hash browns).  I try NOT to eat anything after a late-ish evening meal + never eat lunch unless it's planned/plan a light evening meal) and very seldom snack on anything but fresh fruit.  I'm always s-o-o hungry when I wake up but unfortunately, need to take levothyroxine (due to having familial hypothyroidism) and wait 1/2 an hr before eating anything!  Apart from being ravenously hungry, also need to take my morning meds (Zomorph-slow release morphine sulphate, Baclofen , and Gabapentin for MS pain and spasticity) & bendroflumethazide (a diuretic for hypertension) AFTER eating.  Certainly NOT a healthy diet and would NEVER advocate this to ANYONE but it always puts a smile on my face!  No one, including myself, EVER "wants to be with me" when I'm "hangry" (being angry because of being hungry) ha-ha!!!!  Please take care and be KIND to yourselves (and EVERYONE else).  Sending everyone all my love x

I think breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Always start my day with a big bowl of porridge, sometimes with a few blueberries on top, keeps me going till lunch as it's slow release.

Hello all,

I love hearing about your breakfasts! Between the comments here and my private messages, it seems many of us love a good porridge in the morning!

I enjoy porridge as well, but there's nothing quite like a good fry up, don't you think?

Not every day of course, but it's a fabulous way to start the day!

For those of us who are not part of "Team Breakfast", which is you favourite meal and how do you start off your day? emoticon cute

Take care,
Courtney
