I am still relatively new here, and Already I feel that I am not alone, my 11 year old son asked me what it was and I said social networking for the sick, the difference between this site and other social network sites, is because it is not about status, and you can choose to be anonymous, you can be yourself and vent without fear of reprisals, you can connect with other who are walking the same path as you , and on your darkest day and there are many for many people it allows you to reach out and touch them when they need to be touched the most, and of course the wealth of shared knowledge is growing day by day.
as well as my listed issues I had a hysterectomy in 2012 leaving me with some major problems, physically and mentally, which mainstream support groups do not cover, so I was left alone to deal with it. I am sure tht is the same for many people out in the world, so great work to the genius that came up with this site, you have really hit the nail on the head, and I know that many other feel the same, you have created a lifeline where there was nothing but a void, and I thank you for that.

Hello @Stormy I think you couldn't have said it better. Carenity is a place to really just be you and no need of other people knowing who you are, where you come from... just that you have a condition with which you have to live with and that you need and want to be next to people that understand you.
I want to thank Carenity for creating this space and helping us all to feel less alone and to learn more about our condition.

You are all right. Carenity means facing my fears knowing others are in the same ship as me and will confort me if something goes wrong. Thanks everyone for being there

Hi Everyone,
Carenity to me, is unique, in the way that no matter what stage I'm at. On a high or hitting a low period, there is always a place for me on here. I'm still well, which is amazing, and am here to give any support I can to who needs it. I also know when in the future I need support, my Carenity family will always be here for me to reach out to. That's why Carenity is so very, very special to me.
Thanks to you all, my Carenity family

IDK. I signed up out of interest, but now I don't know what to do with it. I do know I have nothing to get up for any more and that I don't care.

It means a wonderful, supportive community of friends, with lots in common who will try to help each other, during times of distress, and whilst struggling :)

Every day on Carenity, there is a huge amount of you that share information about your condition, you talk about different subjects with different members, you get informed, you give your opinion, and you contribute to medical knowledge...
In this context, we would like to bring you together around a subject: #Together on Carenity.
We want to know what this means to you, through an anecdote, an everyday story in Carenity: how “being together” has helped you to learn more and cope with your condition, how you see that it has changed your “engagement” in your health…
Don’t hesitate in expressing all you want on this discussion and keep in mind that this will help other members to not feel alone in Carenity.
If you would like to be interviewed and share a longer testimonial, like the one of Ann, don’t hesitate in contacting me.
Thanks everyone! #together, we are stronger
Gilda
