In my opinion,we may not know that much about the vaccine, but we know lots about the devastating effects of Covid. So grateful to have had my two jabs, feel safe.

@HarryChubb Hi Harry please do not leave the site because of comments directed at me. I have worse posted about me, have been reported and people tried to have me banned for giving my opinions and sharing information from news agencies. You can guess who, It runs off me, to be honest, and I don't hold grudges. This was a pro-vaccine site and any views from people who declined the untested vaccines were attacked. As regarding travel my daughter and her 4 children who are not vaccinated went to Italy had to have covid tests before they left and tested before they returned, The Italian authorities never looked for the tests at the airport .So just check the country's rules before you get the vaccine

@whitecross1955... It would have been good of you to have maybe clarified the post about 'your sister' being from a friend.
This caused a lot of backbiting between @HarryChubb which was totally unnecessary in the end, and caused upset to myself and other members as you can see from comments made.

My post was deleted so I am posting it from Reuters fact check....

The American Red Cross confirmed to Reuters that they are allowing people who have received the COVID-19 vaccine to donate plasma (the liquid component in blood, here ), contrary to claims on social media that this plasma is not being accepted because the vaccine is “so untested”.
The confusion may have arisen over the Red Cross’ policy on convalescent plasma, meaning plasma that has COVID-19 antibodies after recent infection and can be used as a treatment for COVID-19 infection. The American Red Cross’ current policy is to only accept convalescent plasma donations from people who have recovered from COVID-19 and have not had the vaccine. Although, if plasma donated by people vaccinated against COVID-19 has a high-level of COVID-19 antibodies it may be used as convalescent plasma.

Hello everyone,
How are you today?
The pharmaceutical groups Pfizer (USA) and BioNTech (Germany) announced on Monday 9 November that their vaccine candidate is 90% "effective" in preventing Covid-19 infections, according to preliminary results of their large-scale phase 3 trial, which is still ongoing.
What do you think about this? Do you plan to be vaccinated as soon as the COVID-19 vaccine is on the market?
Feel free to discuss and share in the comments below!
Take care,
Courtney
