There's something I need to talk about. Does being over stressed with family or work problems make the pain levels much worse. It could be an argument within the family or a friend, or in my case I was badly let down by a staff member and had a huge argument with her. My problem is that I'm too caring and sometimes my heart gets in the way of my head and I get trodden on. This all happened yesterday and today I can hardly move as there seems to be pain everywhere. I wont go into details here but it was a serious situation. Has anyone else found this to happen while under a lot of stress. Please help me to understand how the mind affects the pain levels. Love you all...G

@GloriaG I think stress definitely has an impact on our AS. When you're stressed your hormones go haywire and it can trigger inflammation responses, and since AS is an imflammatory disease it must be triggered too. Has this happened to you since? I often don't feel well when I have things going on at work.

@sASha!  I guess that my condition will always be up and down and as a nurse who is still confined to home, I'm frustrated. I've been organising food supplies for those villagers who are in desperate need which is all I can do from home really. I did try to go out in the car with my daughter and a driver last weekend to buy from farmers, a long journey and since then I have been in so much pain. It did take a lot of energy as everything had to be sorted into each individuals needs and put in bags. I didn't notice the pain until the next day. My car is very high off the ground and dragging myself up and down into and out of it, was difficult. Do you think that could have started the flare up or is it just me with too much thinking. Hugs..G
