Hello everyone, hoping your all having a good week?

well mine could be better, I've started to keep a diary on how ive been feeling and well yesterday was horrible.

I had thoughts of suicide last night and my partner was so upset, he wouldn't let me go and kept cuddling me, i said sorry and i didn't mean it! we have been going through a tough time with multiple things.

Today i feel better, i miss my partner, hes working, trying to provide for me since ive been ill and been told to rest by the doctors for medical reasons.

Thanks for reading.Feel free to message me or comment.

Im happy to talk to others if they need help, i love to think if  im helping just one person  , i can make a difference.

Thanks Jessa x

Hi Stefan + welcome. You are taking the right attitude towards your illness; medication along with an awful lot of self help will get you to a better place mentally . From my own personal experience; anxiety depression due to; a marriage break up after 30 years of marriage [ he committed adultery and was also diagnosed a being"psychotic + delusional} ,my dad was diagnosed with COPD at the same time my sister was diagnosed with cancer. I was facing redundancy also. Reading your post ,you have done so well and appear to be over the worst. I am a believer that once you have hit rock bottom there is only one way to go ....up. I also believe that you will never ever hit the bottom again; yes, you may feel despair but you will never have those truly horrendous, frightening emotions as you will recognize the signs of the dark cloud wrapping around you.

Learn to be gentle on yourself and not to be hard on yourself ;accept that everyone has low days, it is about learning to understand that this is normal in all walks of life.

Do things for "you", no matter how small.

Talk, talk and talk some more, this group is ideal as you will receive support, never judgement from those who understand exactly what you may be feeling through their own personal journey.

Always remember; Little by little, day by day.

Having never ever seeing any light at the end of a very dark, lonely, frightening place, my life is wonderful now. Yes, it has been a long hard path but I am so pleased that I stuck with it.

Have a great Thursday Stefan. Keep up the good work, your English is fine.

Always here to chat.

Julie x

Hi Stefan, What sort of day have you had today?

It was great to read that you are in a better place mentally . Self help can be so hard especially when you want to hide away from everyone; no matter how much you love them. Addressing your issues bit by bit is a real positive. It is ok to say that you "aren't having a good day". The important thing is not to be harsh on yourself when you have had a bad day. It is a case of chipping away at your illness.

Recovering from depression is such a lonely , long path but as you have proved there is a better place at the end of it; although when you are in the midst of it, it is something that you can't imagine.

Stay positive Stefan; you have done an amazing job .

Keep talking.

Sending positive thoughts .

Big hugs

Julie x

Hi Stefan . I hope that your shift went well?

I am sorry to read about your marriage break up. I was married for 30 years when my now ex started having an affair . I was heartbroken . It has taken me a long time to get to were I am now in my life and it hasn't been easy. It has been a long, hard, dark ,painful journey. I never imagined that I would ever be truly in a good place; a place where I finally am.

You must be feeling like the world is against you; I know that I felt like that on my low days. Please be gentle on yourself and try and take care of yourself.

Try and remain positive but accept that it is "a normal "emotion to feel cold/ angry. I wish you well in your search for a new job .

Focus on what is best for you.

Hope to chat soon.

Julie

Hi everyone. I'm new here. I am struggling with my chronic depression at the moment and have joined for some support. (I have major depressive disorder and ptsd) This condition is taking over my life and I have days I do not want to carry on.( I stay with my mum and sisters and have a note book hidden in the house with letters to all my family just in case I do something silly some day) I have a young daughter but I'm lucky my family help out with her.  I will try get an appointment to see my gp but I have not long (over a year) been discharged from the mental health services I was under and not sure if I want to go through all that again. I am so drained and tired of this horrible mental state I seem to be in at the moment! I'm sorry I'm sounding so miserable and I so want to be happy as Christmas is coming up

I look forward to chatting with you all. Thanks for reading
