long wait for radiotherapy

I am now post mastectomy 8 weeks. I went for what I thought was assessment for radiotherapy was told they couldn't start as I hadn't had a bone scan .also my surgeon hadn't started me on oestragen blocking meds , the care I have had has been very disjointed

I am so sorry that you have this condition and are understandably so worried . The thing you really need to do is talk to you assigned nurse or doctor. If you don’t know what stage your cancer is at - it might be better to find out. Also everybody is different - just look at this awful virus -people had different reactions - and people’s bodies react differently to both drugs and cancers.  Just because one colleague has been told this - does not mean you are the same. Also - even with this colleague - new drugs are coming all the time - never say never. I wish you all the luck with your treatment and urge you to get help fem councillor s and nurses and doctors.  If I was nearby I would give you a big hug.
