Hi I’m new member just would like to thank you for letting me join this group, like you all I get so lonely been on my own with my two cats, just speaking to my son on the phone everyday making sure I’m all right, not the same when I’m used of going to shops myself. But I’ve got until 8th July hopefully I get told I can go out again but just go to shops then back home instead of relying on my son, bless him he does his best but not the same, hope you all keeping safe

@Butterfly123‍ That sounds like such fun! I may have to start that with my relatives. I've been videochatting with my grandkids but we haven't done a big family call or game yet. I'd just have to figure out how to teach them to use the video chat. Some of them are rather behind when it comes to technology. My sister is truly hopeless.

I hope everyone is doing well in this mess. I've been taking the time to focus on myself and family and have been staying safe. Fortunately Scotland doesn't seem to be following Boris into the end of lockdown so we may all stay a wee bit safer up north. I think it's too early to end it especially since we know so little about the future of the virus, but that's just my opinion.

Stay safe!

I live in Northern Ireland and like Wales we are still on lockdown living alone is becoming a challenge I would love to get out and meet some friends as I have only one brother that lives here two abroad but he is still working as he's classed as a essential worker, so I don't have much interaction with people only through social media or the phone so mentally it's having its challenges but there is nothing we can do only get on with it lol 😫😫

I am with my elderly father at his home and caring for him. He has dementia and a mental health condition so whatever I say he goes out daily. He is unable to socially distance due to the above and deafness. My mum was his full-time carer but she died in mid February. He needs to proceed with various medical treatments and move house to a place where he can be supported. Everything is on hold and I feel so alone. My brother is abroad and unwilling to have emotional discussions. Presently I have to live apart from my partner and pets while grieving my mum. It is exhausting and monitoring my own health conditions comes last on the list.

@MaryB. Know how you feel. I had been a biker for nearly fifty years. the COPD caused me to lose a lot of weight and body mass resulting in me not being able to kick the bloody thing over and the electric start was iffy.   Had to hang up my leather. When the sun is out I miss not being able to go on the occasional run.
