Hello all, I hope you're well. Have you also experienced discomfort with mucus with your COPD? Have you been prescribed any medicines or non-medicinal treatments to relieve this symptom? If so, which ones? Feel free to share your experience with us here!

@philantropist Hello there. I have always had trouble with mucus, and a constantly blocked nose. I personally think this is caused by all the coughing that I do through the day to clear my lungs. I've tried various nasal sprays, to try to relieve this, but nothing seems to work properly. Short of covering myself in Vicks Vapour Rub, I can't think of anything else that may help.

I find that a teaspoon of table salt dissolved in a glass of warm water makes an excellent gargle and the liquid can be sniffed up the nose to clear excess mucus - a rather messy procedure but well worth while.

I thought it was something you had to put up with having copd. When things get back to some normality I will ring drs. Thanks for bringing this up.

I used to cough n choke alot because i had alot of mucas but could not bring it up proper. When i spoke to my copd nurse she advised trying MUCODYNE capsules. They have been the best. You dont have to take them all the time.Maybe its worth having a talk with your copd nurse or the doctor.Obviously its going to depend on other health issues and medication for each individual

Hello all, I was wondering if anyone had any advice for me. Recently I've been having trouble with constant mucus and a feeling of discomfort in the throat. Does anyone else have this? Do you have any good remedies?
Thanks,
Phil
