Hi

So I haven't figured it out my depressive episodes yet. Some days I am so depressed I am not hungry and I don't eat all day. Other times I food is the only thing that comforts me and I just consume all day. Does this happen to anyone else? Is it all depression or do I have another problem?

Hi @Raindrops

This is an interesting observation. I will ask a few other members to see if they have similar habits.

During a depressive episode do you have an appetite? Do you eat the way you normally do not in an episode? Does your medication affect your hunger levels and cravings?

Please share your experiences!

Take care,

Lizzi

@LizziB Hiya

I have never actually had an appetite but when I'm depressed,stressed or anxious (I am diagnosed GAD, depression amongst few more things) I struggle to eat at all without feeling sick or having to choose what textures would be more manageable just so I could eat something.

Medication sometime helped me eat and sometimes stopped me eating or gave me awful IBS.
