@Gwenrose Wow that's astonishing! Did they catch it after a routine test? I know it can sometimes be difficult to diagnose because the symptoms are like the symptoms for so many other illnesses. I was diagnosed after having unexplained weight loss and flu-like symptoms, and fortunately the doctor I saw wanted to get to the bottom of it.

Hello :)
I was diagnosed after a year and a half of hell. Constantly ill, lost most of my hair, my teeth were wombling, to the end I couldn't even walk much, or talk or even think, spend the last 3 months (till my diagnose) in and out of the hospital, been tested for all sorts of cancer, autoimmune diseases , the very last was HIV.
This was back in 2012 in Portugal, after getting better ,I came to UK and my life is cool :)
Hope all are well :) :)

Hi, I'm Bee and I was diagnosed five years ago. I didn't really have symptoms either so the doctors thought I had probably had it for a few years. I was horrified at the time and went through a full "mourning" or depressive period. I was convinced that it was a death sentence. But with time, a bit of therapy, and some education I know that I can have a full and happy life with it and I don't have to be ashamed! Take care of yourselves! xx
