Osteoarthritis is the most form of arthritis and it most commonly occurs in the spine, hands, hips, knees and spine.

Where does your osteoarthritis affect you? Is it just one location or several?

both knees and it’s not in my family.
I thought at first it was because it was gonna rain hahahahha but the pain started last year and honestly I feel it’s definitely my job. I’m a lobby ambassador at a hotel and we stand at attention all shift as well as carry a heavy rack of about 36 fancy glasses which means they are pretty heavy lol every half and hour, less or more considering how busy we are, wipe em down and quickly run back down to do it all over again. Constant repetitive movements the same movements over and over again for 13 years full-time 8hours a day five days a week.. when I did give HR a note that I have osteoarthritis, she told me we don’t accommodate that & didnt allow me to wear my knee braces. I had no idea I could claim Workmen’s Comp. I was told to change my note . but recently, I hurt my neck and The pain from my osteoarthritis has increased. I think because my neck shoulder and back is sore. I am just in pain. After seeing that HR gave me a job cutting tags off of linens, said it was in my abilities & provided me a work offer that if I didn’t sign the note I would give up my Workmen’s Comp., which is ridiculous because when you’re cutting things you are looking down!!!? Annnd my neck is where my injury is. I told my doctor and she told me to tell them that if they don’t have any light duty jobs that I am to be off work because I’m not supposed to move my neck, she said occasionally not an eight hour shift, which would injure me more.?! It hurts my heart that I’ve worked there for almost 14 years and I’m being treated so poorly so, I’ve decided to file a charge with the EEOC civil rights commission they shouldn’t be able to do this to anyone, especially if they’re in pain or suffering a disability. Wish me luck.

I have Osteoarthritis in my spine, knees & now starting in my hands. My left knee is so bad that I’m waiting to have a knee replacement I’m hoping it won’t be to long as it’s got to the point I can barely walk, I was told in October last year that it the only option after trying alsorts of different therapies I have had all the pre op assessments & consent forms so fingers crossed it won’t be long.

The pain really gets me down unable to do things is the worst as I’m a independent type of person
