''you should know that this medication may make you drowsy. Do not drive a car, operate machinery, or do other possibly dangerous activities until you know how this medication affects you''.

From the drug website, in England this means you can be prosecuted if caught driving while taking this drug since March 2015. This drug is specifically listed on the 'must not drive' list held by the Police!

To robjmckinney Do not drive a car, operate machinery, or do other possibly dangerous activities until you know how this medication affects you''

When I read that it means to me that after you find out how it affects you.....if you are OK ....then you can drive or operate heavy machinery.

What does anyone else think?

I've even seen that note on medicine for childrenwink.png

This should be banned.   It made my stomach bleed and I had to stop taking it.

I dont agree that it should be banned. We are all different and all have different reactions to medicines.

Just because it didn't agree with one person doesn't mean that other people that it helps should be deprived of it.

I cant take tramadol....it makes me loopy wink.png Or as my husband says  "loopier"  wink.png  I wouldn't think that should be banned because a lot of people can take it and it helps them. I just make sure the GP doesn't give it to me.

Lesmal like most of the family of drugs including Dicifenac, Ibrufen etc. there is damage to the stomach lining so it is a must that stomach protecting drugs be taken at the same time. Over the years I have always taken such drugs together stomach protection like Lansoprazole and now take an additional stomach drug. My issue is using liquid Metformin which also attacks the stomach linings so I use Diclofenac sparingly. Now looking at other drugs to control pain as my quest continues to find a good alternative for my many years use of Diclofenac.
