Hi,

Has anyone tried the injections you can get to treat psoriasis? I have always been tempted but the side effects always worry me.

Kind regards,

Gary

@Pleasance  NHS covered the cost but it took years and when I went back to the nurse and had one bad plasi score they stopped the injection. This is a very expensive injection

I’ve been on methotrexate injections for some time. It took a while for the consultation to alter the dosage so it was effective. I’m now on oral methotrexate. There are some side effects but altering the dose can help this. It’s time trial and error. I’m also on biological injection Humira every two weeks. This has massively improved my symptoms and I am almost pain free and can live a normal life. I would not be happy if they stopped these meds as they have made a massive difference to my condition

Does anyone have any experience with biologic treatments for psoriasis? I was told my condition wasn't severe enough, but I'd relly like to get away from steroids. Thanks!
