I have not been offered any treatment although I have been diagnosed with MS I have been advised that it’s not active despite me having a permanent tremor in my left arm, issues with my eyes and bowels. I am waiting for a follow up appointment with the neurologist but I don’t know when that will be due to COVID-19

Hi

I took Tecfidera for a year, successfully in terms of managing the flushing but I still progressed, so it was stopped after 12 months. I started Ocrevus in September 2019, tolerated well but I'm yet to have any meaningful analysis on that - obviously with Covid this is difficult. My consultant wants to book me in for an MRI and said to get covid vaccine when offered. I had the new vaccination (Astra Zenica) last week, I'm still unsure if I'll be having my infusion next month or if that will be delayed for 12 weeks after the 2nd jab as per the information I read on the Bart's blog a few days ago. I'm hoping to have my 2nd jab in three weeks and delay my next infusion but I don't know if I'll have a choice on that emoticon bashful

Hi everyone I was having oxygen therapy once a week before the virus and  now not have oxygen therapy I know for me it definitely help me for energy and for other aches and pains  but I had to pay for it my self  but well Worth it  and because I have MS my Merlin Centre in Saint Austell allow me to have it for half price but anybody can have it and it’s  normal price then It takes an hour and a half 15 minutes to go down to 33 feet of pressure an hour for pure oxygen and then 15 minutes to come back up to normal pressure I don’t know if this helps anybody but  it did definitely help me

@AlexBolland my response to your post should have been something like a "heart goes out to you," rather than a "helpful." So, here's my response: 🫂❤️

I've tried 3 different dmt's: copaxone for around 5 years, tysabri for 1 month back in November 2020, back on copaxone because I'm JCV positive, and finally ocrevus which I started in June 2021! I still wonder why I wasn't started on it sooner! My mri looks like a Jackson Pollock painting now, but from an MRI I had back in Sept 2022, I've got no new lesions now! I'm able to walk properly again, until I get to the crap gap, but I can at least now plan for things and celebrate what I can do now that I couldn't be able to do a few years ago. For example, a couple of weeks back, me and my other half went to do our weekly shop, and I didn't want to take my manual wheelchair. I just walked around Sainsburys pushing the trolley! We both celebrated 🍾 but now, I'm in my crap gap, and my next infusion isn't until the 27th of this month. I cannot wait for it though 🤗

Hello everyone,

treatment for multiple sclerosis can be very different from one person to another, and it often takes time to find what works best.

What treatments have you tried for your MS?
What has helped you the most so far?
And is there anything that has been harder to manage or less helpful for you?

Please feel free to share your experience with the other members. 💛

Take care,

Somya from the Carenity team 🌼
