Medication indications

This medication contains a monoclonal antibody that targets and blocks interleukins 17A, 17F, and 17AF — proteins in the immune system that play a key role in inflammation associated with certain diseases, including psoriasis.
It is prescribed for the long-term treatment of:
- Moderate to severe plaque psoriasis in adults who are candidates for systemic therapy or phototherapy;
- Axial spondyloarthritis, including ankylosing spondylitis, in adults who have not responded adequately to other treatments;
- Psoriatic arthritis, used alone or together with methotrexate, when response to other disease-modifying treatments has been insufficient;
- Hidradenitis suppurativa (also called acne inversa)
