I have been a steroid patient for 56 years and now have all the associated side affects from using steriods.     The use of the steriods was the cause of the diabetes. I have adrenal suppression ,meaning my adrenal glands no longer function attributable to the steriod use.     I have osteoporosis another of the side effects and coupled with osteoarthritis I have certain limitations in my life.   I push myself right to the limit in all I do and have managed to keep myself active.  I am determined this illness will not dictate how I lead my life and am doing the things with my life that I want too.  My doctor tells me I am crazy at 77 to be travelling around Europe doing the things I do. Life is for living and I intend to claim the full issue I have been given

Eat a low carb diet to control weight gain. Ensure your getting enough calcium as Pred reduces it, and can cause osteoporosis. Take as low a dose as needed to manage symptoms, higher dose increases risks of side effects

I think these are amazing for Rheumatological conditions.  I was stunned at how much better I was when the Doctor first put me on them.
