I use Skechers and they are really confortable. Though my nurse says almost any running shoe would do the same for you and she suggested to check out Vionic Shoes, apparently they have a site and I don't know if they sell them on any store. I still haven't checked them out, but she says she has heard they are really good for all kind of back and foot pain.

Hiya
I have flat feet (accessory navicular) as well as AS, which causes real issues with my ankles and knees. I find that any good sport shoe is fine, as long as I take the original insoles out and put in ones that compensate for my over-pronation. Maybe you could do the same with insoles designed for Achilles/plantar issues? I have found lots on ebay or Amazon (ebay is cheaper though). When you need a pair in every pair of shoes you possess, from wellies to riding boots, buying expensive ones that are no better is a bit costly
.

Fab idea about the insoles! Thanks for that, I'll look into it, today.

@ChicoMio you are right, that is a great idea, don't know why I've never thought about it... thanks a lot for the tip

Hi. I have Ankylosing Spondylitus. I was diagnosed 11 years ago. Recently, I've been suffering with tendonitis of my Achilles's heels. This causes my ankles and feet to get very swollen and sore.
Does anyone have any tips or experience of what is the best brand of footwear to choose for everyday activities outside? I've heard Skechers (memory foam) are good...does anyone have any experience or tips please? Thanks.
