I’ve always used Lowsalt even before I was diagnosed with HBP.
I did read about a study where people used exercise to strengthen their hands and that lowered their BP. I’ve been using little hand exercises every night I can manage 1 min 11secs now. The strength in my right hand has gone from weak to normal but my left hand is still weak. I have noticed an improvement in my BP I’ll keep on and see if it continues to improve.

I have very little salt and less fat. I eat more fruit and veg. I have less red meat and more chicken and fish. And I try to keep my weight down. I can’t do a lot of exercise due to other health problems. Despite this I still have high BP.

I eat what I like basically when I like as long as I stay away from junk food. I love bananas, avocados and grapes but am allergic to spices, dairy, wheat, protein and seafood. I try to be careful with this combination but don't just stop eating them cos of allergies. I take an antihistamine daily which helps. I still have high blood pressure and hypertension causes my seizures, but I eat the above within reason.

Hypertension is one of the most common chronic conditions worldwide. While medication is very important, diet also plays a huge role in managing blood pressure.
Some of us have had to cut back on salt, while others have seen the benefits of potassium-rich foods like bananas and leafy greens. On the positive side, these dietary changes can greatly help with blood pressure control, but on the other hand, making long-term choices can be challenging for a lot of people.
