I take each day as it comes, try to have a focus for that day. Today is pretty good, but it gives me a nudge every now and again. H

Living with anxiety and other mental illnesses
Suicidal thoughts, not coping, how to get treatment without carrying out my plans?

Hello everyone! 👋
Managing ADHD as an adult can be a complicated journey. Treatments often include a mix of medication, counselling, and practical life skills training, and what works for one person may not work for another.
Stimulant medications (like methylphenidate or amphetamines) are often prescribed first, but others may find non-stimulants or antidepressants more tolerable. Some people also explore cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), coaching, or even relationship or family therapy to better manage day-to-day challenges.
👉 Have you tried stimulant or non-stimulant medications? What were your experiences?
👉 Have you found therapy helpful in managing your symptoms or daily life?
👉 What approaches (medical or non-medical) have worked best for you so far?
