Hello @henrick!
How are you feeling today?
Thank you for starting this discussion today! How does beer usually affect your condition? I will tag some members who might want to suggest an alternative.

For me drinking as a diabetic was no different from before, yes I drank to access but on very rare occasions because I was always the driver. Rum was my choice and could easily drink a bottle with of course Diet Coke and ice. These days I don't seem to bother with drink as I have had an unopened bottle for 18 months to two years. My daughter is more likely to pinch it which I don't like as females don't have the liver for it. I did live with a alcoholic female, not good what the 'demon drink' does to a woman, her liver always four times the size it should have been.
If you worry to much on harm, you can always have the option of going low alcohol, I must admit as an ex-publican nobody ever bought it. These days apart from beer there are others like gin, wine etc. that have got trendy, there is always Bud Light of course!

Hello
I know drinking isn't good for you, but I do like to imbibe from time to time. Do you know if there is a preferred alcohol for those of us with type 2? I'm a beer fan but I wanted to know if I should opt for a different type of alcohol.
What do you do?
