Hi all, hope you're all well and safe.

I have covid and i am absolutely struggling with my breathing.  My diabetes is all over the place which i am assuming is down to this virus.  Yesterday was the worst ever.  It ranged from 7.4 up to 19.3.

I am thinking of taking some vitamins and wondered which one(s) to get.  Any advice would be appreciated.  Thanks.

@ laura41 Hello laura41, thank you for starting your discussion. I'm sorry to hear you've caught the virus, that must be so frightening! Have you been to hospital or are you being treated at home! Please keep us updated on how you are doing if you're feeling up to it! Let me tag some other members to see if they have any recommendations on vitamins!

Hello members, I hope you're doing well and don't mind that I've tagged you. Do you take any vitamins or supplements? Are there any that you recommend for diabetes? Feel free to share with us here!

 Morning @Courtney_J‍

Hope you're well

Thanks for your comment and sorry its taken me so long to reply.

It is frightening, especially when my breathing was so bad.  Three Dr's said that seeing I have 95% of the symptoms that I have covid.  There was a discussion last week for me to go into hospital but because I am doing all the right things to treat myself at home, 2 if the Dr's decided for me to stay at home but if my breathing gets worse then i would have to go in.

Thank you for tagging members into my post.  I haven't received any advice.  I think i will just keep doing what im doing and keep eating lots of fruit and vegetables etc...

Thanks again

Stay safe and well

Laura

Hello Laura, sorry to hear you have the dreaded virus, but glad you're not in a hospital. I imagine it's not pleasant at all. Bad enough when you get visitors let alone and none.
My diabetes was steroid-induced due to the high dosage I had been taken. The only vitamin I take is folic acid, I take so many tablets in a day so as I am not that keen on taking more. I think your DR. could help you with that or a nurse clinician. Some fruits can raise your reading grapes and bananas particularly.  Hope you start to feel better soon. Katz.

@ laura41 Hi laura, I've heard that magnesium can help for diabetes, but I haven't read any official research, so I'd ask your GP before starting anything. emoticon bashful
