@Jo66lav Hello Jo66lav, thank you for creating this discussion. Being newly diagnosed with diabetes can be very confusing and stressful. Let me tag some members to see if they have any advice for you:
Hello members, I hope you don't mind that I've tagged you. Do you have any advice for Jo66lav? How was it for you when you were first diagnosed? Did it take you a long time to "learn the ropes" of diabetes?

Hi Joe, yeah that sounds rather high, in fact could be classed in the very high category, my blood sugars are really high just now, I,m 14.2, which worries me, but I will get it down into single figures, stay safe x

I have Type 2 diabetes, as we enter the peak of the Coronavirus, my wife has to go to Southampton Hospital for a scan on her hips. I am having to go with her as she doesn't have a clue where to go. We live on the Isle of Wight is it safe for me to go or should we stay at home.

As I work in a hospital, I would say it would be OK for you to go but they probably will not let you into the dept. Make sure you wear a mask and gloves, just to be on the safe side.
