@Pepejim Hello Pepejim, thank you for starting this discussion. I think there may be other members who may also be worried.

Hello members, I hope you don't mind me tagging you, have any of you been taken off metformin? Do you have any advice for Pepjim?

Doxycycline is an antibiotic so might conflict with Metformin rather than specific issue. You can get a blood sugar test at any chemist and device quite cheap on eBay if you are worried. If you are on Metformin only it sounds like you are in control mostly of your diabetes, what does your last HB1C level test say. But Doxycycline is quite specific and added bonus of a treatment for pneumonia the most common issue with Covid-19. Here is a short description of the drug and its uses.  ''Doxycycline is an antibiotic used in the treatment of infections caused by bacteria and certain parasites. It is used to treat bacterial pneumonia, acne, chlamydia infections, early Lyme disease, cholera, typhus, and syphilis. It is also used to prevent malaria and in combination with quinine, to treat malaria. Doxycycline can be used either by mouth or by injection into a vein''. Wiki

My doctor ask me to continue with my normal dose, my BMs still high but getting back to normal.

My concern  is that according to my GP I will have to go back to work next Monday and I still don’t feel very well and tired, emoticon doctor, still coughing with lots of sputum.

@marfbarf Do you mean Sarcoidosis because if so you really need a closer eye by your GP. I strongly suggest you contact your GP for advice due to the serious nature of your disease. Most GPs are able to do most things over the phone especially those patients they need to keep an eye on.

Hello marfbarf, the only advice that I can give it to you is to visit your doctor.
