yes, you are wise not to go for anti inflammatory drugs. They give you nasty gastric upset. Turmeric will certainly help and the exercises of course. There are supplements that can help as well. I take Glucosamine and Condroitin, NSM which is a perfect partner for Glocosamine sulphate, Rosehip with Vitamin C, Omega 3 Cod Liver Oil and many others. Pineapple is very good for Arthritis. It contains Bromlain for artritic pain. Some people take Devil's Claw which is meant to be good but it can cause stomach pain if taken in larger dose. There are special on line exercises for knee therapy. I do them, and they certainly help. Swimming also help a lot.
