@Tigger.co.uk Perhaps send a message to @Somya.P who can investigate further and find out what might be going on. I am sure she can sort.

Not brilliant at the moment as now I have been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes, it is very worrying as having coeliac disease it. Very worrying about what I can eat as having a gluten and wheat free diet now I have to be careful for sugar salt and starch I have other life threatening illnesses on top of this but knowing what I can eat is scary I am now on metformin 2 in the morning and 2 at night so if anyone can help with some info I would be very grateful, I have had my eyes screened but so far all OK apart from having glaucoma still need my eyes lasered and might have to have my cataracts removed just waiting now also waiting to have my ear test and I will be getting new hearing aids they cancelled once just hope they don't cancel again well every one have a fantastic Xmas and a very happy new year love and hugs xxx

@Tigger.co.uk I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes this year after my annual blood tests. Results came back that some results were abnormal for a diabetic. honed up my GP surgery and said I'm not diabetic, she said I was and prescribed Metformin but I really could not understand what she said. I phoned again the next day to get an appointment, this time with a doctor who lives in my road. Saw him , he looked up my records and said I should have been told 3 years ago. He prescribed metform twice a day and all should be OK. I bought a blood / sugar tester and check 2 or 3 times ago . I don't use sugar but lay off the carbs i.e bread, pastry and potatoes. I had my eyes tested at the diabetic clinic and all was well. I try not to weaken but I do love my mashed potatoes.

@Tigger.co.uk Yes, I had head and neck cancer in 2014, still here, still surviving. Lost my Dad, Mother and brother to cancer, not a nice way to go. There are many side effects of the cancer treatment that leave us with life changing issues. I suffer from lymphodema in my neck, blowing up like a bullfrog, some massaging and medical tape on standby if it gets bad. You can buy a device on Ebay for your legs and arms for lymphodema issues, inflates and deflates or you may find a vibrator can help. I tried many things, it is the massive muscle spasms in my neck that get me in the cold weather, so painful, I use heat pads etc. to reduce the pain. Breast cancer treatment causes less damage to the body overall, so there is positives and negatives to the type of type of cancer we suffer. My wife is only deaf in one ear so can still hear but you can get cheap hearing aids on Ebay if you get fed up waiting for the NHS. Glaucoma, both my wife and I suffer from this one, mine is at the early stages but my wife is checked regularly for progression. She will go blind but after the cataracts were removed she can at least ride her mobility scooter again. Getting old is so wonderful but that is life, at least we are alive to talk about it. Merry Christmas

@robjmckinney like you I lost my mum to lung cancer I looked after her for six months, my dad spent 28 yrs in a mental hospital because of the war in 1980 he fell to his death from the hospital window and I had to go identify his body I was 26 yrs old at the time, and breastancer for me was very hard I lost one of my breasts had 6 weeks of treatment, after my op I had letrazole but the radiotherapy left me with lymphodema in my arm and hand I can't lift anything heavy, also I had to watch my daughter go through skin cancer twice, she also had to have a lump removed on her neck and also had to have a hysterectomy, because of a lump in her womb so cancer and mental health has played a large part of my life but like you said such is life it's hard but at least I'm a live and kicking, happy Xmas and a Happy New Year to you both x

Not been to good for a while, the slightest thing or memory sets me off into a crying stage which only makes me feel worse. Still only getting "cat naps" instead of "proper" sleep, so never seem to have any energy. My acute depression is continual and pressurised by the ever present loneliness and lack of companionship and the thought of having to do the same thing, every lonely day, only makes the final day even more inviting.

Not too bad today, just finished some antibiotics and steroids for a chest infection and as usual I have a horrible tasting mouth, it will be a few days before that goes away. Yesterday was the best I've felt for months so fingers crossed for today
