Hello everyone,

Unfortunately, having a chronic condition can severely limit the amount of energy and strength a person has. We wanted to ask you, how much exercise do you manage every day? Is it a short walk? A cycle? A swim?

Please share in the comments below and we can encourage each other to move more (within our capabilities) to have healthier lifestyles!

Also, if you’re looking for some recommendations for exercises to do at home, read our article filled with suggestions for you!

Not much to be honest...but it is more so out of laziness than anything else!

I would love to be able to do more exercise. Even after a 10 minute walk, I'm in excruciating pain, and need to stop.

I attend an exercise class  at our local Sports Centre where some of us do chair based exercises. It only lasts an hour but is great fun and I've made lots of good friends there.

I see a chiro every two months and he insists on exercise no matter how small an ammount it is ,I have Arthritis in most of my joints and suffer a lot of fatigue, I try to cycle although short distances ,he insists on me using small weight bearing exorcises, and lots of stretching, I do beleive with our his help I would not have got through the last ten years of my working life ,sometimes when I feel the fatigue coming on I will go a bike ride instead of going to bed ,sometimes it helps sometimes not, bur it makes me feel better knowing I have  tried .

Not much sadly, I just seem to be in a vicious circle, can't move much because of ailments and not losing weight because i'm not having enough exercise, also gave up smoking a few years ago and can't shift the weight, so that doesn't help me either

I do aquafit twice a week as I feel the exercises to music makes it fun. Everyone in the class is doing it so you don't give up and I think the exercise helps all muscles. I tried tai chi but found the regime too regimented ie I found that if I had to go down to my right hand side I had difficulty in that I couldn't keep up with the class due to my condition. I also do some walking or stroll with friends once a week but sometimes would like to partake in exercise with people with similar condition.
