I do puzzles every day, keeps my mind sharp. It helps keep my mind of off my pain a little bit. I also feel if you can move a bit at all, try taking a few steps and even do a household job of some sort. I find it does keep my mind active.

The one problem I would love to see the back of, is my bladder which is becoming the bane of my life,,is it that the bladder it's self packed up and needs a new one,,or is it some of the side effects of my diabetes?,,I am really fed up of wetting myself,,and having to keep using very large incontinence pads.  Of all my conditions my bladder is the most annoying one,,my back problems of pain, stiffness and fed upness of being unable to do many things is another bane to me.

I try to deal with things each day, and try not to allow things to get on top of me,,I do get depressed,,and so fed up,,but I have to keep going,,giving up is not an option.

Karen, is there a possibility that you can have a bladder repair operation done? it is quite common. You are kept in the hospital for 5 days. Sorry, i do not know your conditions, so not sure if you can have an operation for bladder repair.

Good luck
