Hi Izzy

You are going through a very tough time indeed. I can't imagine how you must be feeling. Cleaning the settee with Dettol wipes, will not set it on fire. So what did? I don't expect you smoke, so a smoldering match or a cigarette is out of the question. Did wiping hard with Dettol create a friction with some chemicals under the settee ignite the fire? Is the settee very new? Can you contact where you bought it from and have it checked it. How did it spread to your living room table? Sounds really odd. Even though you put the fire out yourself, did the fire brigade come and do any investigations to prevent this in future? Hope you have sought medical attention to your burns and blister on your eye. Please take great care my friend. You will remain in my prayers always.

Love and hugs to you my friend.

Christina

@Izzyjamal  OMG Izzy, have you seen a doctor or been to the burns section of the hospital. Burns can become infected very quickly if not tended to immediately. Are there people helping you my dear...This is so sad and very typical of what can happen when suffering from this terrible disease. I have had a similar problem and nobody was here to help. I crawled round the floor trying to clean up and then couldn't get up from the floor until help arrived.  What is the condition of your home now, are you able to get help and still live there. How could Dettol wipes cause this. Wish I could help you, all I can do is send you my love. Let me know what you need....

Hi Izzy

Haven't heard from you for 3 days. Are alright? Have you sought medical care for your burns? Have Fire brigade done any investigations into it? Please can ou let me how you are. Thanks

Christina

Good Evening To All My Dear Friends.

I apologise for the silence I have been in Hospital!!!

On that day I got up and 05.00am was sad as I knew that I was soiled!!!

Went to the bathroom to clean myself... I was devastated and really angry. Came back to drink my coffee and realised that the sofa was soiled as well! By now I was mad!! Grabbed a handful of Dettol Wipes to clean it!!!!

The Wipes were really moist and I started rubbing the sofa to clean it!!!

I now know that it was an accident that the Fire Brigade will follow up with the Wipes!!! With my friction I created a fire!!!! I dint even think twice I had to stop the fire!! From the sofa it went to my dream catchers and I “finished!” the fire!!! I had dialled 999 on my mobile for help and left it on loud speaker. Well 3 ambulances 2 fire brigades in my Flat!!!!!

I had a right go towards the team lider of the fire brigade regarding my morning medication!!!

Well Jamal and I left the Flat to go to the Ambulance. Dear God that Jamal was ok...

The Paramedics wanted to take me to Hospital here. And I said I’ll go to 1 Hospital only either than that I’m going home!!!!!

So I ended up on My Hospital I have 2 degree burns on my arms hand chest breasts throat and very bad on my face!!!!

I have lost the brows my eyelashes......

I came home with Jamal for the Weekend... I nurse from the Ventilation Unit will came twice Saturday and Sunday to check on me.

I hate Hospital and I had Jamal!!!! THE BEST WARD IN THE ENTIRE WORLD!!!!!

Please don’t worry 😉 about me! I will most likely... the Beautiful Face ...in the world!!!!

Thank You for your support My Angels.

I will update You All Daily!!!

Hugs 🤗 and Kisses 😘

Izzy and Jamal.

Hi Izzy

Thanks for the update and am really glad that you are back home. Like Jazzy says, give your self time to heal. It was very good of the hospital to let Jamal stay with you in the hospital. That must have been a great comfort to you. Hope you are having district nurses or some one from the burns unit to change your dressings if you have any and keep an eye on the sustained burns. God bless you Izzy and get better soon. Please update us on the investigations by the fire brigade on the cause of fire with friction. There must have been some chemical on the settee that ignited with the friction. Lots of love and God bless. You will remain in my prayers.

Christina. xxx

Just feeling tired of rheumatoid arthritis these days. Every winter brings a flare-up. If I could just have a couple of hours in the morning when I wake up to not feel pain, just enough to let me get a head start on the day, I think I'd be happy.
